Cooling plant roots when sunlight hits balcony

There is a lot of planning that can be done with online discussion. For example, where, creating a microclimate so that we don’t kill the plants when we put them there, and so on. Water supply, shading to avoid/filter overhead afternoon sun. Buffer vegetation (helps maintain micro-climate when the plants are still few in number)

For best results, we will need an area that gets plenty of natural sunlight and breeze, but is shaded at peak sun. Somewhat like forest undergrowth. A water supply that is reliably low TDS - municipal drinking water should work. If minor automation can create a wind-evaporative cooled humid area, the range of plants possible to grow becomes greater.

Extreme out of climate plants could also be grown in the fish tank terrarium, with cooling piped in through the AC (more efficient cost wise).

Jumping directly to the plants will not be such a great idea.
