Why are we using Paraffin for dilution or as control.
IAA (Isoamyl Acetate) dissolved in paraffin & paraffin oil is odourless. Why IAA cannot dissolved in DW ?

Great! I have a doubt, Why is parrafin used for dilution and why not some other chemical ? What will happen if we use water instead of paraffin oil?

We can use distilled water as control.
Iso amyl acetate is the sample that we use…right?
But… does iso amyl acetate dissolve in distilled water??
